International GP Recruitment

General Practitioner opportunities available in the south of England

Are you qualified as a General Practitioner/Family Doctor within Europe? Would you like to work in the National Health Service (NHS) in the south of England?

DRC Locums are working with NHS England to recruit doctors from overseas to become part of an International GP training scheme, which will be tailored to meet your needs, experience and personal requirements and will be funded by a bursary during your pre-induction and training phase. Also, on offer is 3 months paid accommodation, a substantial relocation and support package with a starting salary from £68,000 per annum on completion.

This is an exciting time to work in general practice. By joining over 41,000 GPs currently working in England, many from overseas, you can enjoy a rewarding and varied career that offers unrivalled flexibility, with the option to fit the job around other major commitments, such as having a family. It also gives you the opportunity to practise in the region of your choice, and to decide to be wholly a generalist or to develop skills in a specific area as a GP with a special interest.

"I started the International GP Recruitment Programme with DRC Locums after struggling to get on the Performers List on my own. I first made contact with DRC Locums and they really helped  me by explaining all stages of the application process to enter the programme. After that I had my first interview over the internet followed by a second interview in Plymouth. For the second interview I received a lot of support from DRC Locums and all the wonderful people from NHS and HEE really made me feel that I am part of a team. I now have an agency I can rely on to help me. I am very grateful to be able to be part of this team" ~ Dr Pop
